Jung is generally seen as the least "scientific" of psychoanalysts, the "mystic," the "guru of the New Age";  but the fact is that the theory of the archetypes, now almost 100 years old, is amazingly similar to what the biological sciences are now proposing.

This book will show how broad that agreement is, and that Jung has proposed a model which makes it possible to understand "spiritual experience" on the basis of a sound biology.
